On this page, you’ll find everything you need to prepare for recital day, including schedules, costume details, and tips to help your dancer feel confident and excited for their big moment. Performance fees help cover the essential costs of producing a high-quality performance experience for our students and their families. These fees ensure a seamless and professional recital by supporting:

These fees will be auto-drafted in equal installments on Feb 15 and March 15.
Students will perform the following dances in the recital:
If your dancer is unable to perform in the Annual Student Recital, please click the link below. Submissions must be received by February 1st.
Performance fees are non refundable.
Comp Codes for Dance Families:
Dance families will receive an email with a comp code prior to May 1st. This code allows for two free tickets to the performance.

Dancers should arrive in their costume, with all accessories, hair, and makeup fully prepared.
Please note that parents are not allowed to observe the rehearsal due to space restrictions and to minimize distractions for the dancers.

Students will be notified by their teachers about the costumes they will be wearing for their dance routines and will be fitted for them during their regular class time. Some costumes will be provided through our wardrobe department, while others may include the class leotard or accessories supplied by the student. Please refer to the information discussed in class or an informational paper provided by the teacher for details.
Costume Handling:
Costumes provided by the PSMD wardrobe department will be brought to the theater by PSMD staff. However, Performing Company costumes must be brought to the theater by the students on the day of the performance.
Costume Return Policy:
All costumes and headpieces must be accounted for immediately following the performance. Students are required to remain in the backstage area until all costumes have been checked in. Costumes that are not returned or are damaged will be subject to a $150 replacement fee.
