Recital Music Guidelines

• Music should never fade in or out.
• Avoid selecting music that needs to be ripped from YouTube or Spotify; purchase your music if necessary.
• Do not use music with inappropriate lyrics or suggestive material. Please ensure you carefully review the lyrics of your selections before finalizing your choice.

• Preteen/Teen and Levels 2, 3 & 4: 2.0 – 2.5 minutes or less
• Levels 5 & 6, and Levels A & B: 2.5 – 3 minutes or less

• Pieces do not need to follow the Under the Big Top theme, but incorporating it could be fun, especially for jazz, tap, and contemporary styles.

Pre-Approval Required: All music choices must be pre-approved by Rebecca or Briana.

1. Submission Deadline: Provide Rebecca with a digital copy of your music by February 1st.
2. Google Drive Upload: To avoid confusion, upload your music to the Recital Music 2026 Google Drive.
3. Please label your music files with both the song title and the class name and level.
